What we review.
A structured walkthrough of everything an employment-law-savvy buyer (or an angry employee, or the Working Time Regulations enforcement officer) would look at.
- Contracts of employment. Written statements, day-one rights under the Employment Rights Act 2025, role-specific terms.
- Employee handbook and policy suite. Disciplinary, grievance, absence, family leave, equality, data protection, working time, lone working.
- Right to Work records. Checks done, evidence on file, retention periods.
- Statutory notices. Statement of main terms timing, leave entitlement notifications.
- Day-to-day processes. How onboarding, absence, performance and leavers actually happen, versus how they are documented.
- Working time and rest breaks. Particularly if you have shift workers or trades on site.
- Sub-contractor and casual arrangements. Employment status, IR35 considerations.
